THE GENESIS
Coconut Grove Hotels started with Coconut Grove Beach Resort in Elmina. It was officially opened for business in December 1994. With 15 rooms set on the Coast of Mmoframa Akyinim in Elmina in the Central Region, the Resort has grown to become the preferred destination for the discerning traveler in West Africa.
Our resolve is for continuous improvement by researching, anticipating and meeting customer needs and wants as our reason for being in business. The Resort has over the years been innovative and has made a conscious effort to improve its facilities.
As it is well noted with us, clients maintain that "there is always something new when you visit Coconut Grove Hotels." The Resort has grown and now has sister hotels in Elmina itself, Accra and Obuasi. Coconut Grove hotels is a wholly Ghanaian and private sector owned chain of hotels.

Coconut Grove Hotels has not compromised on its natural appreciation of its obligation to the local community and its own set goals. The hotels have been sponsoring tertiary education students as well as the local Edinaman SSS where free vacation classes have been organized for final year students.
The resort has also made and continues to make donations to the local communities facilities by providing free medication to deprived persons, used clothes and other presents.
CELEBRITIES
The Resort has been privileged to host some celebrities both
from Ghana and Abroad. The former WBC Featherweight & Super
Featherweight champion, Azumah Nelson visited the Resort
with some friends. The UN Secretary General Mr. Kofi Annan &
the wife Nani and Will Smith have also been our guests.

World Renowned film actor and musician, Will Smith was in
Ghana to Shoot the Film "Mohammed Ali". He visited the Elmina
Castle and later joined us at the Resort and for lunch.

Corporate Clients: The Hotels have been very privileged to enjoy the loyalty of the very cream of Ghanaian and International clients. The Beach Resort is popular with the Breweries including Guinness Ghana Limited, Ghana Breweries Limited & Accra Brewery Limited.
We try very hard to make guest feel very much at home. This has been through surprise birthday parties and presents, hosting of wedding and birthday receptions and regular interaction with our guest for "memories worth repeating".
